The corona crisis brings a lot of unrest and uncertainty. It is clear that the corona crisis can have major consequences for the income of many Dutch people. We notice that clients have many legal questions. A frequently asked question is: "Does the corona crisis affect alimony now that I have no or less income?<\/em>?<\/span><\/i>\u201d. A fair question. After all, a change in income can have a major impact on the ability to pay.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When determining the financial capacity of entrepreneurs, the income that they can reasonably earn from the company without endangering the continuity of the company is taken into account. In this respect, it is very questionable to what extent the past is indicative of the future. This certainly applies to sectors that have virtually come to a standstill, including the hospitality and cultural sectors, but many other sectors are also experiencing the consequences of the corona crisis.
