Divorcing father hinders help for child

Children in divorce situations are regularly kept away from mental health care by fathers. This is what family law attorney Marjoleine de Boorder of De Boorder Schoots Advocaten has noticed. In order to send a child under the age of 16 to a psychologist or psychiatrist, the permission of both parents is required. De Boorder would like to see the legal requirements applied more broadly, so that both parents no longer have to give permission.
