Marloes Holthuis in JAN Magazine about the bill for automatic authority upon recognition

On November 24, 2020, the House of Representatives passed a bill. The bill ensures that the unmarried partner of the mother automatically receives parental authority if he or she acknowledges the child. This eliminates the distinction between married and unmarried parents. JAN Magazine asked Marloes Holthuis, lawyer & mediator at our office, what exactly will change (especially for fathers) as a result of this bill.
